I really, really want a sewing maching. =)

These are quilts that I found on this site. Aren't they just wonderful? The one on the top is called a Wedding Wheel Quilt and the one on the bottom is called the Color Wheel Quilt. I wish I had a sewing machine and an extra weekend! (Not that I could ever finish something like this in ONE WEEKEND!) I think they would make an awesome gift. I think this is on my to-do list....

These two ordinary places transformed this weekend. Maybe not physically... but they did.

They turned into a place where friends gathered (instead of just a place to eat our oatmeal).

They turned into chairs that barely held us up as we laughed so hard.

They were places to tell stories.

They were places to smile at friends.

They were places that we sat or stood next to as we learned new things about friends.

They were places where memories were made. Just the beginning in our new home. But a great beginning it was.

I know, I know

I know, I haven't been doing so hot on the ole' blogging front as I would like to be.
We had a GREAT Christmas break. We spent some time in Eastern Oregon, and then took a quick trip up to Idaho to see our friend Scott and to meet his new girlfriend. It was a lot of fun, and we have some great stories. Unfortunately, I just haven't been in the blogging mood. I will be, sometime soon.
In the mean time, I did make a great purchase for my craft room... a new work table for the center of the room. I am so excited and can't wait to finish the rest of the room. It is at least to the point where I think I can start working in there - wohoo! For the past two or three months I have taken over our dining room table, making our house look messy. Now I can work in my craft room and then shut the door to the mess.
