Life is exhausting. A while back, I remember writing, thinking, and visiting with a friend about how life changes and challenges us as we get older. I remember thinking that God pushes us to become who he wants us to be, and challenges us a bit, but never gives us more than we can handle. While I do still believe this to be true, I have found that I have to remind myself A LOT lately that this is NOT more than I can handle... because I often feel like it is WAY more than I can handle. It seems as if February was just not meant to be my month. I am glad it is over, however, this stress is lingering into March, one of my favorite months. And that just isn't fair! haha
I feel so tired, yet I don't want to take a nap (not that I have the time anyway...) because I just have too much to do. How do moms, wives, dads, and husbands do all of the stuff they have to get done? I don't have nearly as much on my plate and feel stressed out. Dr. Seuss week is coming to an end. I am trying to order invitations (and THAT is a LONG story...), I had the engine in my car replaced in Walla Walla, I have conferences coming up, job hunting is starting, I officially turned in my letter of resignation, Brandon had to move, it was my sisters birthday, I am picking out shoes for my wedding... blah, blah, blah. All of this little fun stuff is adding up to be a lot of stress!
And yet, somehow, I love this. I just want my insides to feel as happy as I am trying to appear on the outside. (I know, I'm not always too convincing) So, as we welcome in March, I am taking a deep breath and reminding myself how lucky I am and how happy I can be.
I just need some help once in awhile.
