My kindergartners were doing some projects with mittens the past few weeks. So we decorated paper mittens (and even 'stitched' them up with yarn) and sent them out on adventures. It was so fun to discuss this idea with them... they brainstormed ideas of where their mittens might go and for the past two weeks mittens have been returning to room 13.
We had mittens go to Florida, Ohio, the coast, Eugene, and all over the Cascades. My mitten went to Lost Valley, OR. to stay on a cattle ranch. It helped feed cows, burn slash piles, and it even took a trip to town. Here are the pictures of my mitten with my husband (he's so cute!) and Scott.
The mitten is out feeding Saturday morning. brrrr
Brandon is letting the mitten get a close view of the cows, while my dog barks. (NOT a cow dog)
Our good friend Scott is LOVING the mitten project (gotta love a guy that gets into the spirit!)
The mitten wanted to ride on the back of the pickup, but it was too cold!
This cow thought the mitten looked like a friend!
Ok, thanks for playing along with the Tales of the Mitten. Let's hope he can come back next year! =)
